December 2017
The aim of this group project was to develop the S/S 2019 collection for Red Valentino, as if we were actually working in the modern business context. We have been through all those phases which characterize the fashion process: from the inspiration to the merchandise plan. Three were the lines and three were the adopted approaches requested in order to efficiently declinate the whole collection. The inspiration was focused on three icons of the 80s, Molly Ringwald, Isabella Rossellini e Grace Jones: Each of them represented a stage of life: from a cheerful and dreamy teenager, to an age of rebellion and eccentricity, to end with an adult and self-conscious woman. In order to build a complete and professional collection, besides textiles, patterns and accessories, we also studied a merchandise and colour grid that allowed us to plan different price slots, colour variations and garment options.
